Peter Matzen is a key figure in Danish brick production and leads Matzen Tegl, which includes both Carl Matzens Teglværk and Gråsten Teglværk. He represents the eighth generation of a family involved in brickworks operations since 1750, making the company Denmark’s oldest industrial business – and all within the same family line.

The building was among the first to achieve DGNB Platinum certification back in 2021 – a recognition of world-class sustainable construction. The building also earned the DGNB Heart distinction in 2025. The award recognises health and well-being.
