Astrantia Hus is a residential development at Grønttorvet in Valby. The development is designed as a modern Copenhagen block with varied heights and façades, inspired by the blocks of the inner city area and the classic townhouses such as Kartoffelrækkerne and Humleby.
3243 Krøyer brings a dynamic play of colour to the façades, and selected headers give the building a distinctive and tactile appearance. The development is part of the green neighbourhood around Grønttorvsparken and is supported by communal outdoor areas and roof terraces.
Astrantia Hus was created by Holscher Nordberg, known for working with urban development and architecture focused on community, city life and a contemporary, sustainable approach to residential areas. The architectural firm operates with the ambition to shape new urban environments where architecture, materials and social functions support each other to create identity in both buildings and neighbourhoods.
Astrantia Hus is part of the development of the new green district at Grønttorvet, with FB Gruppen A/S behind the overall masterplan and the realisation of many residential constructions. Over several years, FB Gruppen has created a modern and diverse district focusing on architecture, community and sustainability.
Grønttorvet has received multiple awards in recent years, including Building Awards from Copenhagen Municipality and the Developer Award 2020 for FB Gruppen’s work in developing the area. The awards highlight the architectural quality and the social and green vision for the district.
