Bindesbølbyen

Parkhusene forms part of the development of Bindesbøll Byen, where the former hospital grounds in Risskov are being transformed into a vibrant new urban district. The development is organised around shared outdoor spaces and green connections, creating a diverse and attractive residential environment.

Architect

Arkitema designed Parkhusene with a focus on the relationship between buildings, landscape and public spaces. The architecture is characterised by a restrained material palette and well-balanced proportions, creating a natural connection to the area’s existing qualities.

The Area

Bindesbøll Byen is located in Risskov, north of Aarhus, and is one of Denmark’s most remarkable urban development projects. The area combines historic buildings, new homes and recreational green spaces in a unique setting close to forest, beach and city life.
