Safety and responsibility for external craftsmen, drivers and other suppliers at Matzen Tegl.
- General requirements for all external companies
– All work on Matzen Tegl’s premises must be carried out in accordance with applicable legislation, including the Danish Working Environment Authority’s (Arbejdstilsynet) regulations.
– External companies are fully responsible for the safety of their own employees, including work methods, protective equipment, scaffolding, anti-fall protection, lifting equipment etc.
– Everyone must adhere to Matzen Tegl’s local safety regulations, access routes, barriers and instructions from Matzen Tegl staff.
– External companies must make sure that their employees are properly instructed on the risks associated with working on Matzen Tegl’s premises.
– The required protective equipment must be worn at all times within the designated area.
- Special requirements for external craftsmen
– The contracting company is responsible for professionally correct and safe workmanship.
– Matzen Tegl may provide supplementary instructions regarding local conditions that must be followed.
– Unless otherwise agreed, craftsmen are only permitted to use equipment and machinery which they bring themselves.
- Special requirements for drivers (hauliers and haulage contractors)
– Drivers collecting or delivering goods must comply with all local safety rules and instructions.
– The driver is responsible for lawful and safe loading, unloading and securing of the load.
– Drivers may only stay in designated areas.
– Protective equipment must be worn in accordance with Matzen Tegl’s instructions.
– Reckless driving, incorrect loading, collisions or failure to comply with the rules may lead to liability for damages.
- Damage, liability and production standstill
– External companies are liable for any damage caused to buildings, installations, machinery or other equipment.
– If errors or negligent behaviour causes operational disruptions or production standstill, Matzen Tegl may claim compensation.
– All external companies must have valid liability insurance and industrial injury insurance.
- Incidents and accidents
– All accidents, incidents and near-misses must be reported immediately to Matzen Tegl’s contact person.
